There is an entry in FreeBMD for Mary Ann Payne born in July-September 1861 in St. Luke, Middlesex (1b 614).
In the 1871 census as Mary A Payne aged 8, born in St Luke, Middlesex, and living with her parents (George W and Francis), and three brothers (George, Henry and Frederick) at 13 Tower Steet, St George, Southwark, Surrey (there were 4 families living at this address). I cannot find this in the London A-Z, but from the census it is close to Westminster Bridge Road near St George's Circus.
The family were living at 13 Tower Street, Southwark at the birth of her sister in 1874, her brother was born in Greenwich in late 1876, her mother died there in 1877 and her father married Sarah Jane Gill in Thanet in 1879.
Marriage of Mary Ann Payne and Joseph Dutton in FreeBMD in October-December 1880 in Greenwich (1d 1401).
In the 1881 census as Mary A Dutton aged 19, born in Islington, Middlesex, and living with her husband (Joseph) at 82 New Road, Whitechapel, London (there were four other families living at the same address). New Road is the B108 running NS between A11 and A13 and near the Royal London Hospital.
Her husband died in 1890.
In the 1891 census as Mary A Dutton aged 29, born in Islington, London, a widow, and living with her son (Joseph), three daughters (Ella, Florence and Nellie), a boarder (Thomas Frith aged 26, born in Manchester, Lancashire, single, and employed as a maker of steam engines) and two lodgers (Angus R Drummond and his wife Jemima aged 28 and 26, both born in Scotland and he was employed as a engineer fitter) at 6 Glendale Road, Erith, Kent. Glendale Road is off Battle Road off Lower Road B213.
In the 1901 census as Mary Ann Dutton aged 38, born in Islington, London, a widow, employed as a washerwoman, and living with her three sons (Frank, Fred and Joseph) and daughter (Ella) and a boarder Fred Jacock aged 41, born at Grimbury (a note on the original adds Kent, but it was actually Grimsbury, Northamptonshire), married, and employed as a machinist at a factory, at 12 Battle Road, Erith, Kent. I assume Fred was the father of Frank and Fred as they were both born after Mary Ann's husband had died. Battle Road is off Lower Road B213 - No. 12 is at the southern end.
Mary Ann Payne was my great grandaunt.
