In the 1861 census as Emma Paine aged 7, born in Brighton, and living with her parents (Joseph and Emma), seven brothers (Frederick, Friend, George, Henry, Joseph, Stephen and Thomas), sister ( Caroline) and a lodger (George Sargent) at 6 Cavendish Place North, Brighton St Peter, Sussex.

Marriage of Emma Pane (sic - on the typed original) and Charles Martin in FreeBMD in July-September 1870 in Kensington (1a 169).

In the 1871 census as Emma Martin aged 18, born in Brighton, Sussex, and living with her husband (Henry) at 57 Denmark Road, Willesden, Middlesex. Three other families shared this address.

Her daughter was born in Harrow in 1872.

There are some 13 entries in Ancestry Public Member Trees with variations of the above, some of which give her death on 7 January 1887 (this was the death of her mother), others in 1936 rather than 1935.
