Birth of Sybil Marie Luff in FreeBMD in July-September 1900 in Henley (3a 919) which included Caversham.
In the 1901 census as Sybil Marie Liff (sic - in the index and on the original) aged 9 months, born in Reading Laversham (sic - I assume Caversham), Berkshire, and living with her parents (Arthur William and Mary Louise), and sister (Elsie Mary) at Old Burghclere, Hampshire.
In the 1911 census as Sybil M Luff aged 10, and living with A William and Marie L (parents?), Arthur O (brother?), Elsie M, and Helene M (sisters?) in Kingsclere, Hampshire.
Information from Heather Croucher states Sybil Marie Luff became Voss and emmigrated to South Africa where she worked as a matron at a hospital in Pietermaritzburg. I cannot find such a marriage. However there is an entry in FreeBMD for the marriage of Sybil M Luff and James A Seymour in Andover in 1943. They apparently had three children - Roger J in 1944 and Yvonne C in 1945, both in Andover and Gary L in 1953 in Melton Mowbray. A James A Seymour was born in 1914 in Wandsworth and another in 1922 in Melton Mowbray. Did Sybil have a daughter with the same name? A Sybil Minton Seymour born 26 June 1925 died in Melton Mowbray in 1978 and a James Ambrose Seymour born on 28 January 1922 died in Leicester in August 2001.

Old Burghclere is 10 miles NE of Andover and and also very close to Watership Down.
Sybil Marie Luff was my half third cousin.
