Her father died in 1885 and her mother married William Corps in 1889.
In the 1891 census as Marion Luff aged 7, born in Thursley, and living with her mother (Hy Js Irena Corps), stepfather (William Corps), nephew (Walter), two sisters (Harvey Luff and Sarah (sic - on the original) Corps (sic - in the index, Luff on the original) ), and half sister (Annie Corps) at Stoughton Road, (just north of the A3), Stoke next Guildford, Surrey. Her older brother Albert was living with his aunt (Harriet A Voller) and family in Witley. I cannot find an entry for her father who may have been abroad as he was in the army.
In the 1901 census as Marian Luff aged 18, born in Thursby, Surrey, single, employed as a housemaid, and living with Edward H Glenny (aged 48, born in Barking, and a Minister of the Gospel), his wife (Mary L aged 47 and born in Stroud, Gloucestershire), son (Elliott T aged 20, single and a medical student), two daughters (Janet M aged 22 and Mary O aged 19, both born in Barking, single and employment illegible), a visitor (Frank G Bergin aged 21, born in Bristol, Gloucestershire, single and a medical student), a boarder (Augus M Levack aged 27, born in Scotland, single and a missionary student), and a cook (Lilly Lose aged 16 and born in Leyton, Essex) at 29/31/39 Linton Road, Barking, Essex.
Marion Luff was my half second cousin once removed.
