Birth of Laura Luff in FreeBMD in January-March 1883 in Hambledon (2a 134) which included Thursley and Elstead.

Christening of Laura Luff in the IGI on 27 May 1883 in Thursley, Surrey, parents Thomas and Triphena Luff.

Her father died in 1885 and her mother married William Corps in 1889.

In the 1891 census as Sarah (sic - on the original) Corps (sic - in the index, Luff on the original) aged 8, born in Thursley, and living with her mother (Hy Js Irena Corps), stepfather (William Corps), nephew (Walter), two sisters (Harvey (female on the original) and Marion Luff ), and half sister (Annie Corps) at Stoughton Road, (just north of the A3), Stoke next Guildford, Surrey.

In the 1901 census as Laura Luff aged 18, born in Elstead, Surrey, single, employed as a domestic housemaid and living with Mary Piggott (aged 76, born in Guildford, single, and a retired governess), two boarders (Robert E Paton aged 57, born in Scotland and living on his own means, and his wife Elleanor J aged 52 and born in Scotland), and a domestic cook (Rose C Christmans aged 82, born in Stoke, Surrey and single) at Safton, Jenner Road, Holy Trinity, Guildford, Surrey (of the Epsom Road, A25 near junction with A3100 High Street/London Road).

Marriage of Laura Luff in FreeBMD in April-June 1906 in Wandsworth (1d 868) to either Daniel Eden or William Charles Exton (Laura may have been living with her brother Havey who married in Wandsworth in 1903).

Relationship

Laura Luff was my half second cousin once removed.
