Birth of Harvey Luff in FreeBMD in April-June 1881 in Hambledon (2a 134) which included Elstead.
In the 1881 census as Infant Luff aged 3 weeks, born in Elstead, Surrey, and living with his parents (Thomas and Tryphena), three brothers (Alfred, Harry and Walter) and sister (Amy) at Van Hurst, Elstead.
His father died in 1885 and his mother married William Corps in 1889.
In the 1891 census as Harvey Luff aged 10, born in Thursley, and living with her mother (Hy Js Irena Corps), stepfather (William Corps), nephew (Walter), two sisters (Marion Luff and Sarah Corps (sic - in the index, Luff on the original)), and half sister (Annie Corps) at Stoughton Road, (just north of the A3), Stoke next Guildford, Surrey. Note the sex is female on the original.
In the 1901 census as Harney (sic - in the index, correct on the original) Luff , aged 21, born in Thursby (sic - on the index, correct on the original), Oxfordshire (sic - on the original), single, employed as a journeyman baker, and boarding with Peter Puhl (aged 40, a german subject, and an employer in a bakery and confectionery), his wife (Elsie Puhl aged 34 and born in Middlesex), son (Aurther J aged 6 and born in Hammersmith), daughter (Winifred aged 1 month and born in Hammersmith), four other boarders (Jack Coldicott aged 23 and born in Surrey, Frank Holley aged 19 and born in Hammersmith, Frederick Holloway aged 18 and born in Hammersmith, and Frank Parsons aged 19 and born in Middlesex, all bakers) and a servant (Lilian Worth aged 21 and born in Plymouth, Devon) at 96 Blythe Road, Hammersmith, London (off Shepherds Bush Road A219).
