Jill Glee has an entry for Thomas Larby, parents Thomas Larby and Sarah Quinnel, married Elizabeth Hone on 2 October 1747 and had eight children (does not have two Johns).
Monique Jones has the same information, but all nine children.
All the children were christened in Thursley.
Entries in West Surrey Family History Society West Surrey Burials for Thomas Larby on 20 November 1771 in Thursley and 24 March 1771 in Witley. His wife was buried in Thursley in 1764 so I assume the Thursley entry is the correct one, and the Witley one refers to his father.
Witley, Thursley and Haslemere were adjacent parishes in SW Surrey.
Thomas Larby was the fourth great grandfather of Cyril Larby, my second cousin once removed.
