Monique Jones has an entry for Richard Larby born in and christened in Haslemere on 2 October 1726, parents Thomas Larby and Mary Quennell, and married to Elizabeth Hill on 6 September 1765 in Cranleigh, Surrey, and six children (James, Meli, Edward, Elizabeth, William and Mary). However I have doubts regarding this because there are two entries in the West Surrey Family History Society Surrey Marriage index. The first is a Marriage License Allegation dated 5 September 1765 for Richard Larby of Elsted and Elizabeth Hill of Cranleigh, and second is the marriage by license on 6 September 1765 in Cranleigh between Richard Hill of Elstead, Sussex and Elizabeth Hill of this parish. I believe this could refer to a Richard Larby born in Bepton (only 3 miles from Elsted). There was one born in 1724, but he appears to have died in 1728. Was there another?
Richard Larby was the fourth great granduncle of Cyril Larby, my second cousin once removed.
