In the 1891 census as Harnold Lanman (sic - in the index, correct on the original), aged 13, born in Reading, and living with his widowed mother (Harriett), brother (George), sister (Jutianna) and a domestic servant (Mary Kate Lanman aged 19, born in Theale, Berkshire, and unmarried) at 140 Oxford Road, St Mary, Reading. (Note the index combines this household with the previous one).

His sister Julianna died in 1909 and left effects of £414 17s 9d to George Lanman and Harold Lanman gentlemen.
