In the 1871 census as Annie Lane aged 10, born in Bromley, Middlesex, and living with her parents (John and Eliza), brother (John) and two sisters (Eliza and Maria) at 88 St Leonards Road, Bromley St Leonards, Tower Hamlets, London. Another family lived at the same address.

In the 1881 census as Ann Lane aged 20, born in Poplar, Middlesex, single, a smith's daughter, and living with her parents (John and Eliza), and sister (Myra) at 5 Bisterns Place, Poplar, London.

Married in the Parish Church according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church by Licence [...] in the Presence of John Lane and Maria Lane".

I cannot locate an entry for her husband's death or any information about him.

"Page 5 1888 Marriage solemnized in the Parish Church in the Parish of Poplar in the County of Middlesex. No. 9 November 28 1888 John David Burley aged 43, a Widower and Licenced Victualler of Poplar, father Joseph Burley, a Coachman, and Annie Wise aged 27, a Widow of Poplar, father John Lane, a Smith. Married in the Parish Church according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church by Licence".

Her daughter was born in Poplar in 1890.

Her son was born in Greenwich in 1891.

In the 1901 census as Mary (sic - on the original) Durley (sic - in the index, illegible on the original) aged 39, born in All Saints, Poplar, and living with her husband (J D), son (David), daughter (Nancy), (step)son (J G) and (step)daughter (Beatrice) at 75 Markhouse Road, Walthamstow, Essex.

In the 1911 census as Nancy Burley aged 49, born in Millwall, Middlesex, married for 23 years with five children, two having died (not sure whether this is refering to her husband's children), and living with her husband (John David), son (David George), daughter (Nancy Eliza) and (step)son (John Gladstone) in six rooms at 75 Markhouse Rd, Walthamstow, Essex.

Her husband died at 75 Markhouse Road, Walthamstow on 17 February 1920.
