In the 1911 census as Arthur E Kerridge aged 13, born in Lowestoft, Suffolk, and living with his parents (Thomas E and Kate), brother (Wilfred E), sister (Phillis M) and a servant (Ellen Haddingham aged 13 and born in Weston, Suffolk) in twelve rooms at 128 High Street, Lowestoft, Suffolk.

There is an entry in Ancestry British Army WWI Pension Records 1914-1920 for Arthur Edward Kerridge, born in Lowestoft, a bank clerk at Capital County Bank, 39 Thread Needle Street, London, as 235249 Worcestershire Regiment attested 7 December 1915, joined special reserve 18 July 1916, height 5 ft 8 in, weight 144 lbs, chest 38 + 3 in, loss and decay of many teeth, slight defective vision, and joined in Ipswich, served in France 19 June 1917, joined 2/6th (Cyclist) Bn Suffolk Regiment 15 July 1917, wounded in action 11 September 1917, returned to England 16 September 1917, arrived command depot Ballyvonare 27 October 1917 discharged 13 February 1918, and in France 3 April 1918 to 18 September 1918, discharged 20 September 1919 no longer physically fit for war service, casualty form gives his age on enlistment 18 years 1 month injured in both thighs (shell fragment in right thigh and left buttock) and right hand (partially?) severed. A letter was addressed to him at 18 High Street, Lowestoft, Suffolk on 20 January 1920.
