Baptism solemnized in the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel [blank] in the County of [blank] in the year 18[blank] [...] Oct 6 No. 340 Charles Thomas [parents] Charles Ephraim [and] Susan Jordon [of] 5 Macroom Rd Born Aug 7th 1900". Three pages earlier it fills in the blanks with Fernhead Rd and 1900.

His two brothers were born in Paddington in 1906 and 1908.

In the 1911 census as Charles Jordan aged 9, born in Paddington and living with his parents (Charles and Susan), and two brothers (Arthur and Harold) in three rooms at 200 Fernhead Road, Paddington W, London.

His mother died in Hampstead in 1913, and his father married Margaret Mary Mullington in Newport, Shropshire in 1914.

His half sister was born on 17 August 1917 in Hampstead at 166 Broadhurst Gardens, Hampstead from the Electoral Roll.

In the 1921 census as Charles Homer (sic) Jordan born in Paddington, London in 1901, and living with Charles Ephain (sic) Jordan (father?), Margaret Mary Jordan (stepmother?), Arthur Hope and Harold Graham Jordan (brothers?), and Constance Emily Jordan (half-sister?) in Hampstead, London, Middlesex.

I cannot locate him in the 1939 Register but his wife and mother-in-law were staying at San Reno (a hotel?) in Durley Road, Bournemouth, Hampshire with some twenty four other people.

His wife died in Hastings and Rother in 1987.

Charles Thomas Jordan was the grandnephew of Edgar Jordan, husband of Amy Luff, my half first cousin twice removed, and also the brother of Harold Graham Jordan, husband of Doris Grocock, my half third cousin.
