The three children were christened in Horsforth surname Holmes - his occupation is a labourer for James and William.
Entry in Ancestry West Yorkshire, England, Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1512-1812 for John Holmes buried on 10 March 1777 in Harewood "Burials at Horsforth Chapel from 25th 1776 to March 25th 1777[...] March 10 John Holmes Labr". There is also an entry for John Holmes buried on 10 March 1777 at Guiseley and Horsforth. "March 10 John Holmes Labourer 1777". These are different entries on different pages.
Guiseley is about 9 miles NW of Leeds and Yeadon is 2 miles SE of Guisley, while Harewood is 8 miles north of Leeds on A61 and 10 miles from Yeadon. Horsforth is a chapelry in the parish of Guiseley which is about 4 miles SE. I do not understand why the Ancestry databases state Harewood - I assume the pages have been shuffled, but it may be that a copy of the entries was sent to Harewood as appears to be the case for the burial.
