In the 1861 census as James Heavers aged 1, born in Poplar, Middlesex, and living with his parents (Thomas and Fanny), and two brothers (Richard and Thomas), and a lodger (Rebecca Clark aged 26, born in Limehouse, Middlesex, single and a labourer) at 6 Park Street, Limehouse, Middlesex.

In the 1871 census as James Heavers aged 10, born in Poplar, Middlesex, and living with his parents (Thomas and Fanny), two brothers (Richard and Thomas), and a lodger (John Wright aged 19, born in Lea Bridge, Essex, single and a labourer in the docks) at 3 Dock Terrace, West Ham, Essex.

I cannot find an entry in the 1881 census.

His son was born in Mile End Old Town in 1889.
