Entry in Ancestry England & Wales, Quaker Birth, Marriage, and Death Registers, 1578-1837 for the marriage of Benjamin Hayler and Margaret Greene on 21 August 1684 in Billingshurst Monthly Meeting of Horsham, and its inferior Meetings: Ifield and Shipley. "Whereas Benjamin Haylor of the pifh of Shipley in the county of Sufsex Billingshust in the County of Sufsex Husbandman & Margaret Greene of Horfham in the County of Sufsex Spinster having declared their intentions of Marriage before Severall publick meetings of the people of God called Quakers [...] 21st day of ye 6 m in the year 1684 [...] at the Houfe of John Shaw in the pirh of Shipley in the County of Sufsex". Difficult to read and very long! but the month appears to be a 6 rather than 8, but I assume this was measured from March rather than January.
