The christening of John Gaunt is in the IGI on 7 September 1689 in Calverley, father John Gaunt. There are two submitted entries adding his mother as Martha Nettleton. However an entry in Calverley Parish Records for the burial of Martha Gaunt, wife of John on 12 March 1688 states she was probably Martha Nettleton in which case she could not be his mother. Note another John Gaunt was christened on 19 January 1689, father Robert Gaunt.

Unfortunate no mother is given for the children and so it is not sure which family they belong to. Those listed below were all at Pudsey Chapel, father John, but must be different familes.

Burial of John Gaunt, a clothier of Pudsey, in the Calverley Wills on 12 February 1735 at All Saints Chapel, Pudsey. Another John Gaunt, also a clothier of Pudsey was buried there on 19 January 1758. Another John Gaunt, a labourer of Pudsey was buried at St Wilfrid on 22 December 1754. However Sarah Gaunts who died in 1738 and 1741 were both widows so I assume the 1735 date is the correct one.
