I cannot locate a registration for his birth. There are three entries in FreeBMD for a Male Croucher born in January-March 1838 in Dorking (4 70 in 2, 71 in the other), all three are on a typed copy of the original, and one for a male Croucher born in April-June 1838 in Dorking (4 76).

The baptism spelling indicates Perryer, the marriage spelling Peryer, and the burial spelling indicates Puryer. There was a Martha Perryer born in Dorking in 1818.
