In the 1851 census as Albert Croucher aged 5, born in Brockenhurst, Hampshire, and living with his widowed mother (Ann) who was housekeeper to John Kidgel (aged 68, born in Shapick, Dorset, widowed, and employed as a master shoemaker), and Albert's two brothers (Henry and John), at Pilley Bailey, Boldre, Hampshire.

I cannot locate an entry in the 1861 census.

In the 1871 census as Albert Croucher aged 20 (sic - in the index, should have been 26 and I think is 29 on the original), born in Boldre, single, employed as a footman, and living with Samuel George Smith (aged 48, born in Southgate Middlesex, single), a visitor (Charles Hedley Smith aged 27 and born in Croydon, Middlesex) and ten other servants at Sacombe Park, Sacombe, Hertfordshire (about 4 miles NW of Ware).

Street [father] John Whisker [a] blacksmith. Married in the Parish Church of St Peter according to the Rites and Ceremonies of the Established Church after Banns [...] in the presence of us Bodham Butler Whisker [and] Mary Ann Whisker".

His first son was registered in July-September 1875 in St George Hannover Square, and his second was in July-September 1879 in Marylebone.

In the 1881 census as Albert A Croucher aged 36 born in New Forest, Hampshire, employed as a corn merchant and living with his wife (Rosenenna L) and two sons (Albert C and Henery P) at 113 Pread (sic - in the index Praed on the original) Street, Paddington, London.

His third son was born on 14 May 1881 in Paddington, fourth on 24 July 1883 in Lambeth, and fifth on 21 September 1885 in Marylebone.

His son was baptised 8 March 1891 at Christ Church, Marylebone when he was a baker living at 2 Circus Street.

In the 1891 census as Albert Croucher aged 46, born in Lymington, Hampshire, employed as a gentleman's coachman/groom and living with his wife (Rose), and five sons (Albert, Frederick, George, Henry and Victor) at 2 Circus St (Circus Road?), Marylebone.

In the entry for the christening of his three sons on 20 May 1891 at Christ Church, Marylebone he was a butler living at 2 Circus Street.

In the 1901 census as Albert A Croucher, born in Bolder (sic), Hampshire, aged 56, employed as a waiter, and living with his wife (Roseanna) and four sons (Arthur G, Frederick J, Henry W and Herbert) in three rooms at 67 Earl Street, St Marylebone, London.

In the entry for the marriage of his son in 1908 he was a watchman.

In the 1911 census as Albert Croucher aged 66, born in Old (sic in the index, Bolder on the original), Hampshire, a house decorator, and living with his wife (Roseanna), son (George) and neice (Rose Miller aged 17, born in Paddington, single and a dress maker's assistant) in three rooms at 176 Ashmore Road, Paddington, London.
