In the 1841 census as Edwd Cox aged 14, born in Norfolk and living with Elizar (sic - in index, Elijar on original) Cox (father?), and Eliza, Harriet, Mary and Sophia (sisters?) at Park Lane, South Lopham, Norfolk. His mother and brother Thomas were living seperately with Mary Hambling.
There is an entry in FreeBMD for the marriage of Edward Cock and Esther Catling in January-March 1843 in Guiltcross (Guiltcrofs) (13 259).
In the 1851 census as Edward Cock (sic - spelt on the original) aged 28, born in North Lopham, employed as an agricultural labourer, and living with his wife ( Esther Cock), three sons (George, Henry and Thomas) and two daughters (Sophia and Susan) at Great Common, North Lopham, Norfolk. The ages on this and the following censuses are about 3 or 4 years too old.
In the 1861 census as Edward Cork (sic - in the index, Cock on the original), aged 39, born in North Lopham, employed as an agricultural labourer, and living with his wife (Ester (sic)), three sons (George, Thomas and William) and five daughters (Eliza, Ellen, Emily, Maria, and Sophia) in the Village, North Lopham.
In the 1871 census as Edward Cox aged 48, born in North Lopham, employed as an agricultural labourer, and living with his wife (Ether (sic)), and four daughters (Eliza, Ellen, Maria and Mary) at The Street, North Lopham.
In the 1881 census as Edward Cox aged 59, born in North Lopham, employed as an agricultural labourer, and living with his wife (Ester (sic)), daughter (Mary), and grandson (Harry J) at The Street, North Lopham.
In the 1891 census as Edward Cox aged 69, born in North Lopham, employed as an agricultural labourer, and living with his wife (Esther) and daughter (Mary) at The Street, North Lopham (4 rooms).
Death of Edward Cox in FreeBMD in April-June 1900 aged 80 in Guiltcross (4b 166), although from the marriage of his parents and his christening he was probably only 74.
Lopham is 4 miles west of Diss on the A1066. Guiltcross includes Lopham.
Edward Cox was the second great grandfather of Felicity.
