Notes

Submitted entry in the IGI for the christening of Mary Coulds in the IGI on 1 August 1711 in Kirby Cane, Norfolk, parents Roger and Anne Coulds.

Christening of Mary Cowles in the Pedigree Resource File on 1 August 1711 in Kirby Cane, Norfolk, parents Roger and Ann Cowles.

Angus Palmer has seen the original entry which states"1711 Mary ye daughter of Roger Coulds & Anne his wife Bapt Aug ye 1st" - there is a little squiggle after the "d" and its hard to tell if that is meant to be an "s" or is simply a flourish.

Marriage of Mary Cold and Nathaniel Sterry in the IGI on 13 February 1732 in Chedgrave, Norfolk. Angus Palmer believes this was Mary Cowles and adds Mary Sterry nee Cold died in 1774 and was buried in Kirby Cane on 22nd May 1774.

The following is in the Sterry Gendex:
13 February 1732 marriage of Nathaniel Sterry, bachelor, and Mary Cold, spinster, both of Ravingham.
6 May 1769 Baptisms of Nathaniel and Mary, son and daughter of Nasthaniel and Mary Sterry (in the Raveningham parish register, but not in the Archdeacons transcripts).
22 May 1774 Burial of Mary the wife of Nathl Sterry in Kirby Cane in both parish register and Archdeacons transcripts.

Kirby Cane is some 12 miles SSE of Norwich. Chedgrave is 4 miles north and Ravingham is 3 miles NE of Kirby Cane across the A146.
