In the 1891 census as Charles J Corps aged 9, born in St Giles, and living with his parents (Charles and Rebecca), two brothers (Albert H and Arthur J) and two sisters (Eliza J and Lily A) in three rooms at 11 Great St, St Andrews St, St Giles in the Fields, London - there were three other families at the same address (somewhere between Endell St B401 and Neal St north of Shorts Gardens).
His mother died in 1900.
In the 1901 census as Charles J Corps aged 19, born in Bloomsbury, London, single, employed as a soap makers assistant, and living with his widowed father (Charles), brother (Arthur G), sister (Lily A), nephew (William H Rogers) and neice (Lily Rogers) in three rooms at 11 Great St, St Andrews St, Bloomsbury St George and St Giles in The Fields , London - there were three other families at the same address (somewhere between Endell St B401 and Neal St north of Shorts Gardens).
Charles James Corps was the grandson of William Corps, husband of Tryphena Chambers Horsley, wife of Thomas Luff, my half first cousin twice removed.
