I cannot locate him in the 1901 census, but his wife and daughter were living at 5 Cobden Villas, Rock Road, Milton next Sittingbourne, Kent.
In the 1911 census as Richard Chambers aged 44, born in Limehouse, Middlesex, and Master of a Sail Barge, the Cobden 78617 of Rochester, 40 tons coasting netween Lime House and Rochester in Sheerness, Kent, togther with a mate George Richard Feurre, both married. His wife, son and two daughters were living at 92 Tong Lane, Tong Road, Murston, Sittingbourne, Kent.

Richard Chambers was the father of Alfred John Chambers, husband of Katherine Mary Luff, my half third cousin.
