Entry in Ancestry London, England, Marriages and Banns, 1754-1921 for Thomas Bridger and Sarah Hill on 28 March 1830 at Newington St Mary, Southwark. "Marriages solemized in the Parish of Saint Mary Newington in the County of Surrey in the Year 1850 No 92 Thomas Bridger of this Parish, a widower, and Sarah Hill of this Parish, a spinster were married this twenty Eighth Day of March in this Church, witnessed by Thomas and Phebe Hebden." Both Sarah Hill and Thomas Bridger made their marks.
All the children were christened in the chapel at Battersea Fields (now Battersea Park) in 1830-1845 when he was employed as a labourer - there is a 6 year gap 1834-1840 so some children may be missing. I cannot find an entry in the 1841 census.
In the 1851 census as Thomas Bridger aged 50, born in Handley (sic - Headley on the original), Hampshire, a railway porter and living with his wife (Sarah aged 41 and born in Crawley, Hampshire), son (Edward) and wife's sister (Anne Bridger aged 35 and born in Crawley, Hampshire.) at 8 York Street, Battersea, Surrey. I am not sure who Anne's husband was.

Thomas Bridger was the first cousin four times removed of Cyril Larby, my second cousin once removed.
