In the 1901 census as Sawrie (sic - in the index, Laurie on the original) Baker aged 15, born in Shamley Green, and living with her parents (Maurice M and Margaret A), sister (Edith), three servants (Albert Browley aged 23 and born in Guildford, Benjamin Browley aged 19 and born in Compton, Surrey, and Alfred Streatfield aged 19 and born in East Grinstead, Surrey, all single and drapers (could be grocer's) assistants) and a domestic servant (Kate Hughes aged 16 and born in Shamley Green) at Surrey House, Shamley Green, Wonersh, Surrey.

In the 1911 census as Laurie Baker aged 25, born in Shamley Green and living in Brentford, Middlesex.

Marriage of Laurie Baker and Charles/Cyril J C Girling (two entries on typed original) in FreeBMD in April-June 1915 in Hambledon (2a 497).

In her husband's Amy Service Records under the name Charles Cyril Girling it states Laurie Baker, a spinster, married on 21 April 1915 in Surrey, vicar Edwin A Ferguson, witnessed by M M Baker (father?) and H Baker (brother?). Her address was Surrey House, Chelworth, Surrey, and her son was born on 2 May 1917 at Cranleigh.

Her husband died in Barton, Lancashire in 1949.

Entry in the Register of Deaths for Laurie Girling in July-September 1958 aged 72 in Worthing (5h 628).

Bakers of Headley states Laurie was a daughter of Maurice Moorey Baker and Margaret Ann Hayward.

Susan F Belsey has an entry for Laurie Baker, daughter of Maurice Moorey Baker and Margaret Ann Hayward), married to Cyril John Charles Girling in 1915, a son Maurice Jack Hayward Girling, and her death in 1949 (this was the year of her husband's death).
