He served in 'President', which I believe was a land-based role; he was based in Crystal Palace, then Cranwell under the RAF from 4 Oct 1917; then in Wormwood Scrubbs" and "Willaim was initially in the Royal Navy, but in April 1918 he was transferred to the newly formed RAF with the jobe of Acting Air Mechanic. From June 1918 unti January 1919 he was based in Yate, Bristol; he then transferred to Crystal Palace,til discharge".
William Reginald Adams was the father of Eileen Dorothy Adams, wife of Arthur James Kirk, my half third cousin.
