His two younger brothers were both born in Durham in 1876 and 1878, and his next brother was born in Brixton in 1880.
In the 1881 census as Walter Adams aged 7, born in Norwich, Norfolk, and living with his grandparents (Stephen and Hannah Nobbs), mother (Emma), and two brothers (Alfred and George) in The Street, Loddon, Norfolk. I cannot find an entry for his father.
His younger sister was born in Castle Rising in 1883 so the family may have moved there.
In the 1891 census as Walter Adams aged 17, born in Norwich, employed as an engine fitter, and living with his parents (Lawson and Emma), three brothers (Alfred, George and Henry) and two sisters (Angelina and Florence) at Great Ryburgh, Norfolk.

In the 1901 census as Walter L Dams (sic - in the index, correct on the original) aged 30, born in Norwich, employed as a motor engineer (cycle), and living with his wife (Susie) in two rooms at 24 Wood Street, Northampton St Sepulchre, Northamptonshire (another family shared the same address).
Loddon is 11 miles SE of Norwich on A146, Castle Rising is 5 miles NE of King's Lynn on A149, and Great Ryburgh is 4 miles SE of Fakenham.
Walter Lawson Adams was my second cousin once removed.
