Another four entries correct his parents to William Wyatt Adams and Martha Harvard, and his marriage to Charlotte Cowart in 1854 in Mobile, Mississippi, but give his death in January 1944! Two other entries give his birth in 1830 in Wilcox, Alabama and his death in 1861.
The family appear to have lived in Wilcox, Alabama until at least 1840 from the birth of his brother Jesse. Wilcox, Alabama in 1840.
His mother died in 1842 and his father married Lucinda Dismukes in 1843, and the family moved to Greene County.

Adams was killed by a man called Grimes while on his way to Mobile from the Rocky Creek area of George County, Mississippi in 1872. Robbery was the motive. Grimes was tried, imprisoned and then released to serve in the Confederate States of America Army." This entry also states he was living in the 1870 census!
