Notes

Birth of George Francis Adams in FreeBMD in January-March 1880 in Lambeth (1d 568) which included Brixton.

In the 1881 census as George Adams aged 1, born in Brixton, Surrey, and living with his grandparents (Stephen and Hannah Nobbs), mother (Emma), and two brothers (Alfred and Walter), in The Street, Loddon, Norfolk. I cannot find an entry for his father.

His younger sister was born in Castle Rising in 1883 so the family may have moved there.

In the 1891 census as George Adams aged 11, born in London, Surrey (this is on the original, the Surrey being added later and then the entry crossed out so I assume Loddon was intended, but of course London, Surrey was correct after all) and living with his parents (Lawson and Emma), three brothers (Alfred, Henry and Walter) and two sisters (Angelina and Florence) at Great Ryburgh, Norfolk.

His father died in 1895.

In the 1901 census as George Adams aged 21, born in Brixton, London, single, employed as a compositor (print) and boarding with William Rumsey (aged 67, born in Brighton, Sussex, and a retired ship's clerk), and his two daughters Emma aged 26 and born in Isle of Dogs, London and Harriett Rumsey aged 29, born in Stepney, London, both single and no stated employment) at 188 Shakespeare Crescent, East Ham, Essex.

Marriage of George Francis Adams and Emma Georgiana M Ramsey in FreeBMD in April-June 1902 in West Ham (4a 475) which included East Ham.

Loddon is 11 miles SE of Norwich on A146, Castle Rising is 5 miles NE of King's Lynn on A149, and Great Ryburgh is 4 miles SE of Fakenham.
