A message on Ancestry from Janice Day nee Absalom states her great grandfather who lived at 24 Cross Row, Cramlington emigrated to New Zealand in 1882 - I assume that Matthew emigrated with him, and that Susannah was born in New Zealand.

I am researching the Absaloms from Northumberland. I can go back to James Snr Absalom who married Elizabeth Kid but have no dates. A son James Jnr was born 1764 at Monkwearmouth Durham England and married 23 May 1787 Earsdon Northumberland to Elizabeth Hudson born 1762 and died 17 Oct 1832 South Blyth. Is there anyone who can help. My GGrandfather lived 24 Cross Row Cramlington Northumberland 1881 Cenus and came to NZ in 1882.

However there is an entry in Ancestry Public Member Tree giving the same information except that Susanna was born and died in Australia.

Susannah Absalom was the first cousin of Susannah Emily Absalom, the wife of George Fullick, my third cousin twice removed.
