In the 1851 census as John Abraham (sic - in the index, correct on the original), aged 9 in the index, 2 on the original, born in Coundon, Durham, and living with his mother (Elizabeth), grandmother (Rachael Waddle), his aunt (Elizabeth Wilson), her husband (William Wilson) and daughter (Alice) at Blagdon Street, Blyth, Northumberland.
In the 1861 census as John Absalom aged 12, born in Coundon, Durham, and living with his widowed mother (Elizabeth), bother (Samuel G), a lodger (Gabriel Hindhaugh aged 34, born in Long Framlington, Northumberland, unmarried and employed as a contractors agent), and a servant (Ellen Cooper aged 19, born in Blyth and unmarried) in North Street, Blyth.
I cannot find an entry in the 1871 census.

In the 1881 census as John Absalom aged 31, born in Trimdon in the index, Coundon on the original, Durham, employed as a master mariner, and living with his wife (Elizabeth), son (John) and daughter (Lizzie) at 9 Percy Street, Blyth, Earsdon, Nothumberland.
His wife died in 1886.
I cannot find an entry for him in the 1891 census. His three children were living with his mother.
In the 1901 census as John Abralom (sic - on the original) aged 52, born in Blyth, Northumberland, employed as a master mariner and living with his daughter (Eva) at in four rooms at 5 Croft Road, Cowpen, Northumberland.
Death of John Absalom in FreeBMD in January-March 1919 aged 70 in Tynemouth (10b 661).
The only information I can find regarding his wife is in the 1881 census where she is aged 27 and born in Blenkinsop, Cumberland which I have not been able to identify, and her death in FreeBMD in October-December 1886 aged 29 in Tynemouth (10b 162).
Coundon is 2 miles NE of Bishop Auckland on the B6287.
John Absalom was the second cousin of Susannah Emily Absalom, the wife of George Fullick, my third cousin twice removed.
