In the 1881 census as Mildred Marden, aged 4, and living with her parents (James and Marion H), brother (Reginald J) and sister (Kathleen B) who were living with her grandmother (Frances E West) and uncle (Harry E West) in Whitmore, Churt, Frensham Surrey. There were four other families at ths address which is between Green Cross and Jumps House. This implies it was The Barracks but the house order is then strange.
In the 1891 census as Mildred Marden aged 14, born in Surrey, and living with her parents (James and Marian Henrietta), two brothers (Henry and Reginald), and two sisters (Agnes and Kathleen) at Beach Cottage, Churt, Frensham (at the Pride end of Hale House Lane).
In the 1901 census as Mildred Marden aged 24, born in Churt, Surrey, a domestic housemaid and living with Lywood Newton (aged 36, born in Twifford, Hampshire, and a stock jobber), his wife (Ellen M aged 35 and born in Brixton, London), daughter (Daisy B aged 9 and born in Surbiton, Surrey) and another servant (Bessie Dyrell aged 27, born in Tisbury, Wiltshire, single and a cook)
