I cannot find any entry for James Croucher in the Register of Births except for October-December 1890 in Faversham (2a 786), but have no reason to suspect this is the correct entry.
In the 1891 census as James Croucher aged 4 months, born in Kingston, Surrey and living with his parents, and sister (Rosina) in 2 rooms at 107 Elm Road, Kingston, Surrey (house shared with another family).
In the 1901 census as James Croucher aged 10, born in Kingston and living with his parents, and four sisters (Elizabeth, Florence, Mary A and Selina) at 38 Stanley Gardens Road (off the B358), Teddington, Middlesex.
