In the 1861 census as James Croucher aged 2, no place of birth, and living with his parents, three brothers (Edward, Henry and William ), and three sisters (Elizabeth, Julia and Mary) at Cow Leaze, Kingston, Surrey.
In the 1871 census as James Croucher aged 13, born in France B L, employed as a carman and living with his parents, and five sisters (Ada, Agnes, Elizabeth, Julia and Mary A) at Cowleaze Road, (off Acre Road), Kingston, Surrey.

Pauline Biggs has an entry in RootsWeb WorldConnnect for James Croucher born in 1858, possibly in France, parents Henry Croucher and Elizabeth Hollingdale, five children (Florence, James, Mary A, Elizabeth Maria and Selina Florence all born in Kingston), and his death in Kingston in September 1933. His wife's name was Annie and her death was in Surrey in September 1936. Rosina and Florence appear to be the same person, but I cannot find either name in the Register of Births.
James Croucher was the uncle of Frederick George Croucher, husband of Mary Ann Fullick, my fourth cousin once removed.
