In the 1871 census as William G Young aged 9, born in Swindon, Wiltshire, and living with his parents (William C and Sarah), three brothers (Alfred J, Charles, and Robert E), and three sisters (Alice M, Anne M and Dovey) at 1 Taunton St, St Marks, New Swindon, Wiltshire.
I cannot find any later information, but he was not with his mother in 1881.
Andrew Peel has an entry in Ancestry Public Member Trees for William George Young born about 1862 in Swindon, Wiltshire, parents William Charles Young and Sarah Foxley, living at 1 Taunton St, Swindon, Wilts. in 1871, emigrating to the USA in 1898 and subsequently a sherrif at Lake Arrowhead, California, and a rancher at San Louis Rey, San Diego. (There is an entry in the Ancestry 1900 census for a William Young born in 1862 and living in San Diego.)
