In the 1891 census as Harriet Young aged 9, born in Frensham, Surrey, and living with her parents (William and Lydia), two brothers (Charles and William), and three sisters (Eliza, Emily and Martha) at Shottermill, Frensham, Surrey.

In the 1901 census as Harriett Young aged 18, born in Shotteswell, Surrey, single, employed as a wool warp winder (millhand), and living with her parents (William and Lydia), three brothers (Charles, Fred and Harry) and four sisters (Eliza, Emily, Jane and Martha) in Shottermill. I believe her to be the Harriet Joning (Emily Joning aged 15 was probably her sister) mentioned on page 342 in Shottermill Its Farms, Families and Mills by Greta A Turner as a woolwinder at Sickle Mill which was supplying military uniforms.

In the 1911 census as Harriett Young aged 28, born in Shottermill, Surrey, single, working at a braid factory, and living with her parents (William and Lydia), two brothers (Charles and Freddy), and four sisters (Eliza, Emily, Jennie and Martha) at Rose Cottage, Shottermill, Surrey.
