In the 1891 census as Emily Young aged 6, born in Frensham, Surrey, and living with her parents (William and Lydia), two brothers (Charles and William), and three sisters (Eliza, Harriet and Martha) at Shottermill, Frensham, Surrey.
In the 1901 census as Emily Young aged 15, born in Shotteswell, Surrey, single, employed as a twill winder (millhand), and living with her parents (William and Lydia), three brothers (Charles, Fred and Harry) and four sisters (Eliza, Harriett, Jane and Martha) in Shottermill. I believe her to be the Emily Joning (Harriet Joning aged 18 was probably her sister) mentioned on page 342 in Shottermill Its Farms, Families and Mills by Greta A Turner as a twill winder at Sickle Mill which was supplying miltary uniforms.
There is an entry in FreeBMD for the marriage of Emily Young and Allan Bicknell in July-September 1910 in Farnham (2a 281).
In the 1911 census as Emily Bicknell aged 25, born in Shottesell, Surrey, married for 1 year, no children and living with her husband (Donald) in Almhouses Rd, Haslemere, Surrey. There is also an entry for Emily Young aged 25, born in Shottermill, Surrey, married, and living with her parents (William and Lydia), two brothers (Charles and Freddy), and four sisters(Eliza, Harriett, Jennie and Martha) in Farnham, Surrey which I believe to be an incorrect duplicate entry.
Her daughter was born in Hambledon in 1911.
Her husband died in Hambledon in 1925.
