In the 1861 census as Charles R Young aged 2, born in Swindon, Wiltshire and living with his parents (Willm C and Sarah), and two sisters (Alice M and Amy) at 5 Billwood Place, Swindon, Wiltshire.
In the 1871 census as Charles Young aged 12, born in Swindon, Wiltshire, and living with his parents (William C and Sarah), three brothers (Alfred J, Robert E and William G), and three sisters (Alice M, Anne M and Dovey) at 1 Taunton St, St Marks, New Swindon, Wiltshire.
His father died in Swindon in 1874.
I cannot find an entry in the 1881 census, but he was not living with his mother.

In the 1891 census as Charles Young aged 32, born in Swindon, Wiltshire, a fire engine maker's fitter, and living with his wife (Clarissa) in one room at 22 Commercial Road, Waterloo Road, St Mary, Rotherhithe, London. Three other families were living at the same address.
In the 1901 census as Charles Young aged 39, born in Swindon, Wiltshire, a carpenter's labourer, and living with his wife (Chavissow) in 4 rooms at 84 Raynham Road, Edmonton, Middlesex.
I cannot find any later information and I assume he emigrated (his mother is believed to have gone to California in about 1898).
There is an entry in Ancestry Public Member Trees for Charles R Young born in 1859, parents William Charles Young and Sara Foxley. Andrew Peel has an entry for Charles Ridout Young baptised on 15 July 1858 at St Marks, Swindow, Wiltshire, parents William Charles Young and Sarah Foxley
St Olave was St Olave Southwark which was in Surrey until 1889.
Charles Ridout Young was the first cousin three times removed of John Peel, husband of Patricia Roberts, Felicity's sixth cousin.
