There is much conflicting information regarding John.
There are three submitted entries in the IGI for the birth of John Tuck on 12 July 1756 in North Creake, Norfolk, parents John Tuck and Elizabeth, and his mariage on 2 November 1780 to Susannah Dixon. One adds that his mother's surname was Whitley and the marriage was in North Creake, and two children, Edmond Dixon and William (note William was christened in 1794). The same information is in the Ancestral File except his mother's name is spelt Whiteley.
There is a submitted entry in the IGI for the marriage of John Tuck and Alice Chesteney on 14 October 1793 in North Creake, Norfolk (before the birth of William above). However another submitted entry gives James Tuck as the husband of Alice Chesteney, and four children (excluding John).
However Paul Durrant gives the birth of John Tuck in about July 1756 in North Creake, his parents as John and Elizabeth Tuck, two marriages, the first to Alice Chesteney on 14 October 1793 in North Creake, and two children Ann and Rose, and a second marriage to Mary Flutter on 25 October 1803 in North Creake and ten children, his occupation as a labourer, and his death after 1841.
There is an entry in RootsWeb WorldConnect for John Tuck born about 1730 in North Creake, Norfolk, parents John Tuck and Elizabeth Whitley, his marriage to Susannah Dixon on 2 November 1780 in North Creake, and two children Edmund Dixon and William.
There are seven entries in Ancestry Public Member Trees for John Tuck born 12 July 1756 in North Creake, parents John Tuck and Elizabeth Whitley, his marriage to Susannah Dixon (Dixen in one), and four or five children, the only reasonably certain one being Edmund Dixon Tuck as the others were either born elsewhere in Norfolk or rather late. Another entry gives his mother's name as Elizabeth Whiteley, and two sons John and Mark, the former being born in 1786 in London City, Middlesex and his death in 1870 in Aylsham, Norfolk, and latter being born in 1798 in Norfolk, Massachusetts, USA.
