Notes

Christening of Hannah Toulson in the IGI on 12 March 1731 in Horsforth, Yorkshire, father Timothy Toulson.

However the entry in Horsforth Baptisms 1720-1739 gives her baptism on the same date, but her name as Hannah Towlson and her father as William Towlson, a labourer. There are however no other references to a William, although several to Timothy.

There are two entries in Ancestry West Yorkshire, England, Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1512-1812 for the baptism of Hannah Towlson, one in March 1731 at St Oswold, Guiseley, father William Towlson, and the other on 12 March 1731 in Guiseley and Horsforth, father Timothy Towlson. The first reads "1731 Baptised at the Chapel of Horsforth [...] March [...] 12 [...] Hannah Dau of William Towlson Lab" and the second "Baptizd at ye Chappel of Horsforth [...] March [...] 12 [...] Hannah Daughter of Timothy Towlson Labr 1731".

Marriage of Ann Toulson and John Hogg and in a submitted entry in the IGI on 6 December 1756 in Guisley, Yorkshire.

The same information is in Guiseley Marriages 1754-1769 adding both were of Horsforth, John was a clothier and Timothy Toulson and Samuel Howgate? were witnesses.

Entry in Ancestry West Yorkshire, England, Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1512-1812 for Hannah Toulson married to John Hogg on 6 December 1756 at St Oswald, Guiseley. "No 68 Dec 6 John Hogg of Horsforth in the Parish of Guiseley and Diocese of York, Clothier, and Hannah Toulson, of the same, Spinster, were married in this Church by Banns this sixth Day of December in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Fifty Six by me Isaac Pickthate? Curate. This marriage was solemized between us the day and year above John Hogg and Hannah Touson (her mark) in the presence of us Timothy Toulson and Samuel Howgate?".

The children were christened in Horsforth, but only the father's name is given as John Hogg of Horforth, a clothier for Hannah and Joseph, labourer for John, and John Hog a cloth maker for Mary.

Her husband died in Guiseley and Horsforth in 1795.

Entry in Ancestry West Yorkshire, England, Baptisms, Marriages and Burials, 1512-1812 for Hannah Hogg buried on 29 March 1798 at all Saints, Harewood. "Burials at Horsforth Chapel from March 25th 1798 to March 25 1799 March 29th Hannah Hogg of Horsforth". Interesting that the old year was still being used some 46 years after being changed to starting on 1 January.

Susan Toulson has an entry in RootsWeb WorldConnect for Hanah Toulson born 12 March 1730/1 in Horsforth, West Riding, Yorkshire, parents Timothy Towlson and Mary Steaid, and married to John Hogg.

There is an entry in Ancestry Public Member Trees for Hanah Toulson born on 12 Mar 1731 in the West Riding, Yorkshire. Another gives her christening on 12 March 1731 in Horsforth, father Timothy Toulson, her marriage to John Hogg on 6 December 1756 in Guiseley, Yorkshire, and her daughter Hannah.

Guiseley is about 4 miles NW of Horsforth (a chapelry in the parish of Guiseley) which is about 5 miles NW of Leeds. I do not understand why the Ancestry databases state Harewood - I assume the pages have been shuffled, but it may be that a copy of the entries was sent to Harewood.
