Christening of Ann Rogers in the IGI on 15 December 1833 in Westbourne, Sussex, parents George and Mary Rogers.
Her mother died in 1839 in Westbourne and father in 1840 in Chichester.
I cannot find her in the 1841 census. The above is someshat suspect because I cannot confirm her parents - her age is vey inconsistent in the following.
In the 1851 census as Ann Rogers aged 17, born in Westbourn, Sussex, a house servant and living with Ann Douglas (aged 70, born in Wilford, Northamptonshire, and owner of landed property) her two daughters (Lucy Douglas aged 37, and Helen Frances Douglas aged 18 (I think 28 on the original), both born in Funtington, single and no stated employment), and five outher house servants (Henry Knappett aged 27 and born in Little Beling, Suffolk, Ann Prott aged 38 and born in Rogate, Sussex Mary Wittington 34 and born in Kirdford, Sussex Elizebeth Sipper aged 45 and born in St Pancrass Chichester Charlott Goldring aged 41 and born in Pagham, Sussex, all single except Henry Knappett who was married) in Funtington, Sussex.
Marriage of Job Shrubb and Anne Rogers in FreeBMD in October-December 1855 in Farnbro (2a 131) which included Headley.
Marriage of Job Shrubb and Ann Rogers in the IGI on 20 October 1855 in Headley, Hampshire.
Her daughter Emma was born in North Mundham in 1858.
In the 1861 census as Ann Shrubb aged 22, born in East Lavant, Sussex, and living with her husband (Job), son (John), daughter (Emma), and a lodger (William Smith aged 58, born in Bramshott, single and an agricultural labourer) at Vinnetrow Cottages, North Mundham, Sussex.
Her son Charles was christened in Arundel in 1863, daughter Jane in Arundel in 1865, and son William was born in Appledram in 1869.
In the 1871 census as Ann Shrubb aged 30, born in Lavant, Sussex, and living with her husband (Job), four sons (Charles, John, Tern (Jane? - daughter?) and William) in Appledram, Sussex.
In the 1881 census as Ann Shrub aged 46, born in Lavant, Sussex, and living with her husband (Job), three sons (Charles, John and William), and daughter (Jean) in Malvern Cottages, Wick, Leominster, Sussex (this address was shared with another family). I suspect this is Lyminster on A284 north of Wick.
Death of Ann Shrubb in FreeBMD in July-September 1882 aged 46 in E Preston (2b 215).
Ann Rogers was the wife of Job Shrubb, my first cousin three times removed.
