In the 1891 census as Bertram Robins aged 14, born in Houghton, Dorset, a farm labourer, and living with his parents (Frank and Emma), sister (Annie), and a boarder (Frank Jeans aged 28, born in Stouipin, Dorset, single and a carter) at Stourpain Bushes, Stourpaine, Dorset.

In the 1901 census as Bertram Robins aged 24, born in Houghton, Dorset, married but not with his wife, a bricklayer and boarding with Harriet Braham (aged 54, born in Snetterton, Norfolk, widowed and no stated employment), her two sons (Percy J aged 25 and a thermometer maker and Henry V aged 23 and a commercial clerk, both born in Pimlico, London and single), her neice (Agnes M Mason 14 and born in Martham, Norfolk), two other boarders (Clifford Buckland aged 25, born in Littleinch, Dorset, single and a bricklayer, and Maria Allsopp aged 52, born in Hornchurch, Essex, single and a dressmaker) and a visitor ( Mary L Davis aged 40, born in Cottesbrooke, Northamptonshire, single and no stated employment) at 29 Sussex Street, Belgrave, St George Hannover Square, London. His wife and daughter were living with his parents-in-law at 56 Downing Street, Farnham, Surrey.
I can find no later information - he was not with his wife in 1911.
