Birth of Robert A F Nimetty, mother's maiden name Peachey, in FreeBMD in July-September 1915 in E Preston (2b 512A). The entry is added by hand on the bottom of the typed page and is difficult to read. There is also confusion regarding his first name as he already had a living brother Robert Alfred Frank, and was afterwards always known as Frederick.
His brother and three sisters were also born in East Preston in 1921 to 1926.

His son was born in Alton in 1940.
There is an entry in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission for Frederick Arthur Nimetty, husband of Ivy Patricia Nimetty of Southsea, Hampshire, a private 5502354 in the Hampshire Regiment 5th Bn on 9 September 1943 aged 23 (should be 28) and buried at III. C. 20 Salerno War Cemetery. On 3 September 1943 the Allies invaded the Italian mainland, the invasion coinciding with an armistice made with the Italians who then re-entered the war on the Allied side. Allied objectives were to draw German troops from the Russian front and more particularly from France, where an offensive was planned for the following year.
