Birth of Thomas Victor Luff in FreeBMD in April-June 1897 in Farnham (2a 130).

In the 1901 census as Victor Luff aged 4, born in Shotteswell (sic) and living with his parents (Thos M and Kate), two brothers (Godfrey and Leaton), and two sisters (Hilda and Mabel) at East View, Lion Lane, Shottermill, Surrey.

The following is on the Military-Genealogy website 'Soldiers Died in the Great War 1914 to 1919' database, a service provided by The Naval & Military Press:

Thomas Victor Luff number G/37509 a private in the 11 Battalion Queen's (Royal West Surrey Regiment) born in Shottermill, residing in Haslemere and enlisted in Guildford was killed in action in France and Flanders on 26 July 1917.

On the Commonwealth War Graves Commission site there is an entry with same information stating his name is on Panels 11 - 13 and 14 at Ypres (Menin Gate) Memorial. This is dedicated to the Missing so there is no known grave.

Greta Turner in Shottermill: Its Farms, Families and Mills Part 2 page 359 states that the name V Luff is on the War Memorial by St. Stephens.
