The family moved to Colemore soon after his birth. His mother died after 1623 and his father remarried in 1626, but died in 1628.
Marriage of John Lee and Elizabeth Hawkins in the IGI in Colemore, Hampshire on 13 May 1633. There is a submitted entry in the IGI giving the same information except his wife is Elizabeth Hawkens and the date is 11 May 1633. A second submitted entry also gives her surname as Hawkens and the date as 11 May 1633, but the location is Colmers, Hampshire and gives his birth as about 1608. There is also an entry in Colemore Marriages for John Lee and Elizabeth Yanokin? on 8 May 1633.
Upton Grey which is 7 miles north of Alton and Colemore is 7 miles south of Alton near the A32.
