Birth of Ellen Lashmor (sic - in the index, Lashmar on the handwritten original) in FreeBMD in October-December 1851 in Brighton (7 363).
In the 1851 census as Ellen Sashanar (sic- illegible on the original) aged 1, born in Brighton, Sussex, and living with her parents (Charles and Paulina), two brothers (John and William), and four sisters (Eliza, Emma, Mary Ann and Paulina) in Upper Gardiner Street, Brighton, Sussex.
Her brother was also born in Brighton in 1851, but her sister was born in Bromley, Middlesex in 1853.
In the 1861 census as Ellen Lashmore (sic - on the original) aged 11, born in Brighton, Sussex, and living with her parents (Charles and Paulina), four brothers (Charles, Edmund, John and William) and five sisters (Eliza, Emma, Fanny, Mary A and Paulina) at 17 Bright Street, Bow, Bromley, Middlesex (another family was living at the same address).
In the 1871 census as Ellen Lashmar aged 21, born in Brighton, Sussex, single, a laundress and living with her mother (Pauline), four brothers (Charles, Edmund, John and William), and four sisters (Emma, Fanny, Mary A and Pauline) at 15 Bright Street, Bromley St Leonard, London. Her father was lodging at 28 Bright Street.
In the 1881 census as Ellen Lashmar aged 31, born in Brighton, Sussex, single, a laudress, and living with her mother (Paulina), two brothers (Charles and John), and three sisters ( Emma, Mary A and Paulina) at 15 Bright Street, Bromley St Leonard, London.
Her father died in 1881 and mother in 1889.
I cannot find an entry in the 1891 census.
In the 1901 census as Ellen Leshmar (sic - could be Lashmar on the original) aged 51, born in Brighton, Sussex, single, charing, and living with her brother (Charles) and sister ( Emma - head of the household) in three rooms at 15 Bright Street, Bromley, London. This address was shared with another family.
In the 1911 census as Ellen Lashmar aged 61 and living with Charles (brother?) in Poplar, London.
Death of Ellen Lashmar in FreeBMD in January-March 1919 aged 69 in Poplar (1c 656).
There is an entry in Ancestry Public Member Trees for Ellen Lashmar born in Brighton, Sussex in 1850. Another entry adds her mother as Pauline, and another gives her date of birth as 6 January 1850 and her parents as Charles Lashmar and Pauline Page.
Ellen Lashmar was my seventh cousin four times removed.
