"Marriages solemnized in the Parish of Saint Mary Newington in the County of Surrey in the Year 1850 No 92 Thomas Bridger of this Parish, a widower, and Sarah Hill of this Parish, a spinster were married this twenty Eighth Day of March in this Church, witnessed by Thomas and Phebe Hebden." Both Sarah Hill and Thomas Bridger made their marks.
All the children were christened in Battersea in 1830-1845 - there is a 6 year gap 1834-1840 so some children may be missing. I cannot find an entry in the 1841 census.
In the 1851 census as Sarah Bridger aged 41, born in Crawley, Hampshire, a seamstress and living with her husband Thomas, son (Edward) and sister (Anne Bridger aged 35 and born in Crawley, Hampshire - was Bridger her surname?) at 8 York Street, Battersea, Surrey.
Her husband died in Battersea in 1859.
