Christening of Willia Gill in the IGI on 8 July 1650 in Headley, Hampshire, parents William and Mary Gill. The same information is in Headley Baptisms except his and his father's names are spelt William.
Although there is no entry for his burial, there is an entry in Headley Wills for William Gill, yeoman, on 15 June 1711 PROB 11/521. >/p>
A copy states:
William Gill of Hoathey in the county of Southton, yeoman, being weake in body but sound and and perfect mind and memory and memory? praises be therefore given unto Almighty God, I herby make and ordain this my last will and testament in writing in manner and forin the following viz item I give and bequeath unto the poor people of this parish of Hoathey five pounds and to the poor belonging to this ? of Hoathley and Bramshott five pounds and to the poor belonging to the ? ? ? of Alton five pounds item I give and bequeath unto my sister in law Mary Gill twenty pounds and to her son Ezra Gill twenty pounds item I give and bequeath unto my kinsman Robert ? twenty pounds and to his children five pounds apiece item I give and bequeath unto my kinswoman ? ? twenty pounds and to her children five pounds apiece item I give and bequeath unto my kinswoman Hannah? Woods ten pounds item I give and bequeath unto my kinsman Thomas ? twenty pounds and fifteen pounds a year out of my land at Avalon? which I purchased of Louisa Boxall to be paid him yearly ? ? of his naturall life and imediately after his ? to ? my brother Ezra Gill and his heires and assignes for ever item I give and bequeath to my servant maids Eliza Valor and Mary Valor six pounds apiece item I give and bequeath all the rest of my ? and personall estate goods cattles and chattells after my ? ? and funeral expenses are fully paid and discharge to my brother Ezra Gill who I make my full and sole executor for this my last will and testament ? ? of ? ? set my hand and seal this thirtieth day of December? anno domini 1710 William Gill signed and sealed and published and acknowledged and ? to be the last will and testamont of the above named William Gill in the presense of Abraham Harding John Boxall and Eliza Vallor.
The above mentions his brother Ezra, but I am not sure of the other kin. There is no mention of wife or children.
William Gill was my third cousin eight times removed.
