Christening of Maria Fullick in the IGI on 25 September 1827 in Headley, Hampshire, parents Henry Fullick and Sarah.

In the 1841/51 census in 1841 as Maria Fullick aged 14, born in Headley, and living with her parents, three brothers (George, Henry, and James), and three sisters (Eliza, Sarah and Charlotte) at Barford - a note states she married Henry Harris on 1July 1849.

Entry for the marriage of Maria Fullick and Henry Harris in the IGI on 1 July 1849 at Headley, Hampshire. There is also an entry in FreeBMD for the marriage of Maria Fullick and Henry Harris in July-September 1849 in the Farnborough District (4 155 although in Henry's entry it is given as 4 15[35]) which included Headley until 1869.

In the 1841/51 census in 1851 as Maria Harris aged 23, born in Headley and living with her husband and son (George) at Whitmore Bottom. A note states WHL p.326; née Fullick; m. 2nd 1878 to Richard Cane.

In the 1861 census as Maria Harris aged 34, born in Headley and living with her husband and three sons (George, James and Jobe) and two daughters (Ann and Rose) at Witmoor (sic), Headley.

Her husband, Henry Harris, died 3 November 1870 aged 39 at Whitmore Bottom from an entry in Headley Burials, and in FreeBMD in October-December 1870 in Alton District (2c 117) which included Headley from 1869.

In the 1871 census as Maria Harris aged 31 (this is on the original but it should be 44), widowed, a pauper, and living with her three sons (Andrew, James and William) and four daughters (Ann, Mary, Rose and Sarah) at Whitmore Vale. Her future husband Richard Cane lived three houses away.

Entry for the marriage of Maria Harris and Richard Cane in FreeBMD in April-June 1878 in Farnham District (2a 167) which implies they were living in Surrey.

There were no child with her second husband.

Entry in Headley Burials for the death of Richard Cane on 24 December 1880 aged 60 and buried in plot 12-52. He died at Whitmore Bottom from cancer. There is an entry for the death of Richard Cane in FreeBMD in January-March 1881 aged 58 in the Alton District (2c 115) which included Headley from 1869.

In the 1881 census as Maria Cane aged 55, born in Headley, widowed, employed as a charwoman and living with her two sons (Andrew and William) at Simonstone, Headley.

There may have been a child, Charles Harris, fathered by Daniel Harris, a neighbour.

In the 1891 census as Maria Cane aged 63, born in Headley, widowed, and living with Sarah Hammond (this was her daughter although there is no relationship in the census) who was widowed with a son (Henry James) and two daughters (Alice and Carloine (sic) Kate), and a George Prior aged 29 and born in Bentley, in a four room house at Furze Hill, Churt, Surrey. None of the household have any stated employment.

Entry in Headley Burials for Maria Cane on 15 August 1900 aged 73 at Whitmore from age and dropsy, and buried in plot 12-53 (next to her second husband Richard Cane). Entry in FreeBMD for the death of Maria Cane in July-September 1900 in Alton district (2c 107) which included Headley from 1869.

Jenny Crawford has an entry for Maria Fullick, christened 25 September 1827 in Headley, Hampshire, England, parents Henry Fullick and Sarah Groves. Maria married Henry Harris 1 July 1849 in Headley, Hampshire, England.

Note that there is an entry in Headley Burials for the death of a Charles Harris aged 21 months on 10 January 1871 at Whitmore Bottom. There is an entry in the IGI for the christening of Charles Harris in Headley on 6 June 1869, parents Daniel Harris and Maria. There is only one Maria Harris in the area at this time. There is no Daniel Harris in the 1871 census, but I cannot find his burial in Headley. He is in the 1841/51 census in 1851 aged 43 and married to Mary Harris aged 44, and living with seven children at Whitmore Bottom (next house to Maria), and there are entries in the Headley 1861 census for him aged 57 and his wife aged 50. There is an entry in Headley Burials for the death of Mary Harris aged 54 on 20 February 1864 at Whitmore Bottom.
