In the 1851 census as Henry Fullick aged 8, born in Portsea, and living with his mother who was a servant and living with Thomas Starks (aged 47, born in Portsea, unmarried and a baker/grocer employing one man), three visitors John Lacey and his wife Ann (although it states daughter in the index) and Joseph Warden, George Edmunds who was a baker and his wife Caroline who was a house servant at 1 Cross Street, Portsea.
His mother married Thomas Starks between 1861 and 1871.
In the 1861 census as Henry Fallick (sic) aged 18, born in Portsea, unmarried, employed as a baker and grocer, and living with his mother and stepfather, neice (Eliza - his sister), and a house servant (Louisa Goble) at 47 Cross Street, Portsea.
The entries in RootsWeb for the christenings at St Marys, Portsea of Eliza Jane in 1867 states he was a railway clerk living at Luckman Street, for Alice Elizabeth in 1868 he was a railway clerk living in Fratton Road, and for the christening of William Henry he was a clerk living at ? Terrace, all in Portsea although the censuses and FreeBMD state Lambeth. The rest of the children were born in Merton.
An entry in RootsWeb indicates he was a witness at his sister's marriage on 22 July 1861 at the Holy Trinity Church, Portsea.

In the 1871 census as Henry J Fullick aged 25, employed as a railway clerk, and living with his wife, son (Henry W), two daughters (Alice E and Eliza J), and a domestic servant (Elizabeth L Williams aged 17, born in Portsea, and unmarried) at 7 Belle Vue Villas.

I cannot find any information regarding his wife after this, but his daughter Alice took over the responsibility for the household.
Henry John Fullick was my second cousin twice removed.
