In 1901 Census as Ellen aged 2 living with her parents (James and Ellen), brother (William) and sister (Emily) at The Barracks, Churt, Frensham, Surrey.
She is believed to have posed as a fisher girl for a painting by Bryan Hook, son of James Clarke Hook of Silverbeck (Oliver Cotton Further Reflections on Churt 2004 p15)

They lived in India during the Second World War, and then at Green Hanger, Churt after the war where I sometimes went to tea after school.
I visited her in hospital at Guildford on 7 July 1991 just after she had had her leg amputated because of an ulcer.

I attended her funeral on 2 August 1991 at St Johns, Churt, and subsequently the Community Centre.
